FOUNDATIONAL COURSE IN AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING provides a deep understanding of the principles of flight, including aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight mechanics. This includes an understanding of the forces and moments that act on an aircraft and how they are controlled.
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
To provide a fundamental understanding of the principles of flight, including aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight mechanics.
To provide an understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes, as well as the ability to select appropriate materials for different applications.
To develop an understanding of aviation safety, including the principles of aircraft maintenance, airworthiness certification, and accident investigation.
To provide an understanding of the principles of aerospace systems and control, including navigation, guidance, and control systems, as well as the use of avionics in modern aircraft.
To develop skills in flight testing, including the ability to design and conduct flight test programs and analyse test data.
UG PROGRAMS: Â B. Tech, BSc, BE in Aeronautical Engineering
PG PROGRAMS: M. Tech, MSc, ME in Aeronautical Engineering, MSc Air Transport Management, Master of Aviation Management, Master of Business Administration in Aviation Management, MSc Aerospace Dynamics, MSc Advanced Air Mobility Systems.
COURSE DURATION: 2 days
CAREER OPTIONS:
Aircraft Design Engineer: These engineers are involved in designing and developing new aircraft, including military, commercial, and private planes. They work on the development of aerodynamic structures, engine design, and systems integration.
Aerospace Systems Engineer: These engineers work on the design and development of aerospace systems, including aircraft navigation, guidance, and control systems, as well as the use of avionics in modern aircraft.
Aerospace Maintenance Engineer: These engineers are responsible for the maintenance and repair of aircraft and related systems. They ensure that aircraft are airworthy, safe, and meet regulatory requirements.
Aerospace Materials Engineer: These engineers are responsible for researching, developing, and testing materials used in aerospace engineering, including metals, composites, and ceramics.
Flight Test Engineer: These engineers design and conduct flight test programs to evaluate the performance and safety of aircraft and related systems. They analyze test data to identify and address any issues or concerns.
Avionics Engineer: These engineers design and develop avionics systems for aircraft, including communication systems, navigation systems, and flight control systems.
Air Traffic Controller: Air traffic controllers ensure the safe and efficient movement of aircraft in the airspace. They use radar and other technology to monitor aircraft and provide pilots with instructions to ensure safe take off, landing, and flight paths.
Aerospace Consultant: Aerospace consultants provide advice and expertise to organizations in the aerospace industry. They may work on a variety of projects, including aircraft design, systems integration, and regulatory compliance.
